The weather's been crazy here lately. It was chilly last week, warmed up for the weekend, and then snowed Sunday night into most of Monday. And then it would be snowing at the same time at the same time that the snow that was already there was melting and dripping from the trees. It's a little warmer now, though, and most of the snow is gone. It's supposed to be 75 on Thursday. Weird week.
It's now late enough in the semester for me to start stressing about my long-term projects. I thought I was doing Faulkner for my giant American Lit essay, but I'm liking The Sun Also Rises more than As I Lay Dying now that I'm reading them, so I'll probably do Hemingway instead. My Moliere paper is due next Thursday, but I'm not super worried about that. I do need to come up with an extra paper for that World Lit class, though, so I can get the honors credit. I'm thinking something about Romantic poetry.
I checked a bunch of things off my Alpha Phi Omega to-do list this week. All I have left to do is come up with descriptions of the workshops, finish that scavenger hunt list, write a letter about how Jack and Chad are super and deserve the awards we're giving them at the banquet, and maybe see if temporary tattoo printer paper is something I can find at the office store, because I just think it'd be cool to have little APO tattoos.
I need to help with fundraising for the APO sectional conference!. I know that with the disasters in Japan and all the various other issues in the world that a fraternity function isn't the most vital thing to donate money to, but we're a smaller chapter and we want to show the other chapters that we can put on a fantastic conference. And it's sort of a good cause: money would go towards hosting workshops and leadership courses for students interested in community service and non-profit organizations. If you give me your e-mail I can send you the link to our donation page. Give any amount you want, it all helps, and you're entered to win prizes if you donate. Plus, my chapter started a points system and I get points for every e-mail I send out and every person that donates through my link, and maybe I could get Brother of the Semester and win a gift card! So, even if you can't donate, you help me out by just giving me your e-mail address. And we would of course appreciate any money that you could give!
