I wasn't online a lot this week because my charger was broken, and I was pretty much computer-less until the new one came in on Wednesday, and after that I had to catch up on homework and keep updating my cartoon blog.
I'm all done with my career project for Professional Writing. It's nice to have that out of the way. I also did the proposal for my first World Lit paper, and I know exactly what I'm doing with that. I have about two weeks to actually write it, so I think I'm okay there. I have a big project for Creative Writing, though. A ten-page one-act play due on Wednesday. I know the characters, have their motivations and realizations and changes plotted out, and one page done. I might be alright with that too, but I'm a little worried because I've never written a play before and the professor puts everything up on the screen for the whole class to see. Then again, the student play he had us all read as an example wasn't that great. I'm sure I'll be fine.
It's three weeks until APO Sectionals. There's a lot of stuff we have left to do as a chapter, but I think my personal responsibilities break down to making a scavenger hunt list for the Friday night fellowship, finding some icebreaker games, working on the roll call skit, organizing a Historian round-table, and helping with fundraising. We need to do a lot of fundraising.
I've gotten better at driving. Me and mom practice about an hour every day when we're both at home. My turns are sort of wobbly, and I still don't want to go over 20 mph, but I drove her to church today! There aren't a whole lot of places I can go because we don't think I'm ready for big lighted intersections yet, but I'm getting there.
Last night me and my friend Nick went to see Urinetown at the Lindenwood theater, since I get free tickets. It's a fun show to begin with, and my school's theater department is incredible. The set was huge and moving, the costumes were great, and everyone was such a good actor. I never fail to be impressed by Lindenwood productions. And it was so much fun hanging out with Nick. We traded West stories and he told me about his theater adventures.
