Shindig

So my birthday party was Saturday night. In attendance (other than Jimmy, and Tim and Aidan, who hung out until they left with dad to go to a bonfire) was Mashi, Caitlin, Molly, Ashley, Emily, Dylan, Jeff, and Jon. Which, compared to the thirteen people I had last year, is pretty small.

We played Ping-Pong and Guitar Hero 2 and Ashley's copy of Apples to Apples, and played with my computer and watched web videos. We walked Emily home about halfway through the party, and fooled around on the playground equipment. (Emily lives behind an elementay school.) Ate Chinese food and a Dairy Queen ice cream cake with Harry Potter on it, and lots of Pocky and soda. Went outside and roasted marshmallows, and glowsticked and sillystringed. Then we went back down to the basement and glowstick raved to Mr. Simon. Mostly we just hung and talked. Oh, and the PDA, of course. I have really touchy-feely parties. I don't think that Jon, Dylan, and Caitlin had their hands off of each other for most of the night. It was pretty amusing. People left at around eleven, even though they were supposed to have left by nine, and Mashi and Ashley spent the night. Ashley really wanted to go to Denny's, so it's midnight, and my mom drives me and her up there and we get milkshakes and cheese fries. Slept late, and ate donuts and hung out and talked until the girls got picked up.

Gifts wise, I got some cool cards (including a cute hand-drawn Heroes one from Mashi), some cash, a candle and candle-holder, a pretty bracelet that Caitlin made, lip gloss, a Halloween flashlight, Silly String, salt packets, a duct tape flower, and a roll of purple duct tape. Emily got me this book called "Will The Vampire People Please Leave The Lobby?: True Tales of Cult Fandom", that's primarily about Buffy, but has bits about Firefly and other shows too. I've been skimming through it, it's really cool. Mashi also got me this really nice journal and a whole bunch of Office stuff. Notepads and pens and pencils. I love them.

Like all my parties, it was busy and a little stressful, but I had a really good time, and everyone else did too. (Jeff remained injury free!) We took a ton of pictures, primarily of the Jon/Dylan/Caitlin group, but there were some of me in there too. I have the pictures from the old camera on the computer, and I'll get the ones from the new camera soon, and post them, of course. There were also a couple videos on the camera, and if I can figure out how to get them off of there and work with them on my computer, I'll put them up too.
