I'm feeling better now, thank goodness. My cold is lingering a bit, and I'm still congested, but I'm way better than I was last weekend.
Had another GSA meeting this week, and we got details on the Halloween party. It's Friday, October 26th, from 3:30 to 5 in room 114, where we meet. It's not the biggest room, but I'm sure once we move the chairs, we'll be able to manage. The theme is Hollywood, you have to have a costume, and admission is either $3 or some sort of food item, or other useful thing, such as napkins or plates. I wanted to bring in that Oreos & Ice Cream thing that I make, but, as far as I know, I can't get access to a freezer and mum isn't off work that day to drive it up afer school. Ah well. I guess I can find another dessert item that can sit at room temperature for eight hours. (I'm best at making dessert items.) As for my costume, I'm going to be Claire Bennett, the indestructable cheerleader from Heroes. (TV totally counts as Hollywood, shut up.) There's a site that sells red and white shirts with her school's logo on them (even though it doesn't seem to work), and then I just need a red skirt, the clean white cheerleader tennis shoes, and to curl my hair. Because I adore Claire's hair. And, just for the fun of it, I think I'll be going as bloody, messed-up Claire. Because, as I said, it's fun, Tim says that he has some good fake blood that washes out of clothes real well, and even if you don't know Heroes, I still have the novelty of being a bloodied up cheerleader. James is going as the tenth Doctor Who.
I had a dream this morning where I was running around the basement, panicking because I couldn't find the costume peices I needed and there was a party going up upstairs at that very moment. (Kevin from The Office was there, going as Deal or No Deal. How his costume managed to convey the whole show is beyond me. I remember lots of yellow glitter.) There was this other part, though, all about Firefly. Jayne had done something, well... Jayne-ish, and the rest of the crew had locked him in a box. So he's trapped in this box out in the road (they're on a planet, apparently), and Mal is telling him that, if he's good, they'll let him out to watch the space equivalent of the SuperBowl. (The teams had names like "The Space Rams" and "The Space Packers", and so on.) And the whole crew is making some sort of stew, for SuperBowl food, I guess. And Jayne's like, "Can I help? I can add the salt or something," and Mal says, "No, salt is River's job. We don't trust you with the salt. You can bring napkins or something". And I had another dream earlier this week, where me and mum and dad and my brothers and Aidan were on this mission to prevent Wash from getting killed, but we had to go through an art supply store and got distracted.
