I.e., involving shows or persons that I happen to know off the top of my head that I and/or one or more of my flist would care about. Omissions are therefore inevitable; the full list is here.
Ben Bass with a lead actor nomination: wow! And me without a Vachon icon. The last time I saw him on screen was in an episode of DiVinci's Inquest in which he played a character who never crosses the line between "jerk" and "villain," but keeps striding right up to that line and poking. I thought it was pretty well done, making the character aggravating as all get-out within those bounds.
And a nod to Ms. Disher, of course. Was it ever resolved whether The Border would come to US television after all?
I've still never gotten around to getting hold of any of either DaVinci series. The last I saw Ben was as Daniel's semi-former grad school rival in SG-1 season...four? It's always a nice surprise to see that people are getting better work than we realize, because it's not in the genres that typically get imported here.
I haven't heard anything more about The Border airing here. I know there were some sort of tentative feelers put out during the WGA strike, but to my knowledge that's as far as it went.
I can see it fitting the current branding on TNT or USA. Basically it's a solid ensemble procedural with a good mix of action and character stuff... and there are plenty of those being made down here (or at least pretending to be), without the decidedly Canadian perspective. Which is unfortunately a liability in most programming people's minds. So I'm not holding my breath.

They air regularly here, in syndication. I've never gotten into them enough to tune in every week, but it's a very serviceable crime drama, a little more realistic (pacing, activities, society, tech toys) than CSI and its kin, and very Canadian -- but not untranslatably so.
BTW, you're probably already going to look at the full list, but I should mention that I only listed the regular FK alums, not guests. You'll want to check through for them if you make a news post to forkni -- I spotted Nahanni Johnstone's name, which I haven't seen since "Dying for Fame"! (Wendy)
