Themes
If one helps others, then they help in return. (the lighthouse keepers help Shinji graduate high school, and Shinji brings them fish everyday in return.

Similarities
The story takes place in an isolated city/island that the inhabitants do not often leave.
The main female charater is different from other local girls.
The two main characters are a male and female.
