I booked my wedding chapel this morning with much excitement. We will marry at the Wee Kirk o' the Heather Wedding Chapel (yeah, I know, cheesy name for the chapel where two Celtophiles will marry), the oldest chapel still in biz in Vegas, on August 10th. We are doing the no-frills ceremony; just a basic "I do" with a small photography package added on to preserve the event and share it with family and friends. I have also bookmarked the sites for our wedding rings and the kiltmaker for Aaron's attire (I'm spending more on his outfit than on mine!), all of which will be purchased in June.
In trying to be artistic and share our trip with our loved ones, I will be buying my own digital camera (need one for art anyway) and snapping candid shots throughout our trip. I will then put all the photos, including those from the ceremony, into a book and make it available for folks to view at our party. Not sure how elaborate I will make it (I've even thought about painting it), but I have months to worry about that. Like every bride, even the eloping bride, I want to have a collection of memories to hold on to and pass down to my kids in the future.
