So glad that everything is ok for now. Fingers crossed for continued safety of all - people and the buildings especially. Get some more sleep.

Thanks. I'm afraid that if I sleep too much now I won't be able to sleep at night. For now, I'm just hungry.

Yeah, I know. A friend said last night that we've had shit weather since November, with the odd nice day thrown in to remind/tease us of what it could be like.

Thanks :)

Btw, it's just me; I don't have a family of my own. When I speak of "we" in the house it's the other people living there (float owner like me or tenants).

That seems to be the case. There's less water in the river too, and the authorities have taken the town off the list of warnings.

Good to hear things are safe for now and that your school was fine. Get some sleep and hopefully there won't be additional flooding. I've heard reports of floods all over Europe. The weather has not been giving anyone breaks it seems.

It appears to be a low-pressure area that sits above "us" and turns around itself, unable to move on. Which is why the more northern parts of Europe have had nice weather (a friend went to Stockholm a week ago, and they had 20°C and sunshine all around).
