That site gives me all sorts of ideas. Do you have a particular time this universe is to be set in? I can't seem to find the link to the bios for the universe.

The time for this AU is in the late 1870s to the early 1880s. As for the bios, they're in the Community's profile. :)

just went and looked at this. It's worth looking at the one for the 1860s as well. Given the time involved for the spread of technology across the globe, and across the US, it'd be a bad idea to assume that something that happened or was published in the 1870s would have reached a small rural town in the west quickly.
