I'd make myself scarce if I were Laura too. You almost feel like a voyeour watching them together. :)

Slipping Bates in there was a nice touch. Now, we just have to find a way to sneak Zelenka in there. Maybe he can come to town trying to track down McKay.

That is a good way to get Zelenka in. It does say (in the town history) that something went horrible wrong for McKay in the East, so he came to the west...maybe Zelenka is going to come and get him because of that, and end up staying in Atlantis too.

When I started planning the arrival in Atlantis, I realized that Shep would probably ask Hammond's permission to bring the Athosians in before he did so. Then I recalled Bates of Paranoia and just couldn't resist... ;)

Mewonders if Bates will have a few run-ins with Teyla in this AU...
