Well, I haven't really done anything particularly interesting lately. But, I'm bored, so here I am. XD
I've been reading Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series. I've read it before (except for the latest two), and it's fun. I really like the series. It's a long one, though. So, we'll see if I actually go through the whole thing. Hopefully I will, but I've been known to have a short attention span before. ^^;;
I went shopping with Mom on Saturday, which was nice, if a little annoying. I needed to get my oil changed, and they took longer than I'd have liked. Plus, they didn't have either of the MLP sets that I was looking for.
...Yeah, I'm collecting them. I hadn't planned to, but. They're like potato chips; you can't have just one. My mom bought me a Rarity, out of nostalgic amusement. Then I picked up a Fluttershy. Then I decided I'd get just my favorites...so that meant adding Twilight and AJ. Then I decided I'd get RD and Pinkie to complete the mane six, plus Honeybuzz, since I love her coloring. That lead to the addition of others that I also found cute. Flitterheart, Trixie, Lyra, Sunny Rays, and Daisy Dreams. And the blind bags were similar. I got the mane six, and a few more I liked.
I was hoping to find the Crystal Princess set and the Collectors Favorite Collection at Target and Toys 'R Us respectively, but no luck. I can get the Target one from their website, but the shipping is overpriced and I'm cheap. =/ I can't find the other set anywhere except eBay, and I'm not paying twice as much as retail (or more!) for it. So I guess I'll keep looking.
I did find something that I hadn't expected, though. I got a Fashion Style Luna. Now, I wasn't going to get any of the Fashion Style ponies. They're bigger, and I didn't feel the need to get the mane six in both sizes, so. But I'd never seen Luna sold separately from Celestia, who I didn't want. And the Fashion Style Luna is better designed than the brushable sized. (The new Luna in the Crystal Princess set looks nice, but I don't have her yet.) They only had one, and she was only $15. So I caved. XD
Another thing I picked up at Wal-Mart was a cat toy. Nothing fancy, just one of those kind with feathers and such dangling from a stick. Milo, our youngest kitty, has been running around a lot lately. And trying to get Raye to play with him, much to her annoyance. So, we figured it'd be good to get him a toy, so he'd play with us and leave Raye alone. When we came home, I got it out and showed it to Raye. She loved it; she was pouncing and going after it like nuts. I was surprised! And then, when I took it in to show to Milo? He ran! Big chicken was afraid of the thing. XD He was actually skittish of me for a little while, even after I put the toy away! Seriously, I have never seen a cat react that way to a cat toy. It was so ridiculous, it was funny. I figure I'll try him a couple more times, and if he still won't go for it, I'll get something else. Maybe a laser pointer.
..Well, this got longer than I'd expected it would. And it's random. Oh, well. XD
