So, according to LJ, it's been 8 weeks since my last update.  Sorry for the stretch.  Not for lack of wanting to, however.  It's funny, the less I work, the busier I become with other things, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

We're down to 3 weeks until the Bachelorette Party and Wedding.  I'm super excited for this!  But also a bit nervous, as my speech is nowhere near done.  There are so many things I want to say, but can't seem to find the words to express it all properly.  Also, this makes the next few weeks very busy indeed.  Dress fitting, hall decoration, rehearsal dinner, party planning and organizing, and trying to squeeze in some extra time with Donna, Mana, Becky, ect...

In other wedding news, Brad and Tiffany are probably NOT getting married on the 16th as originally planned.  Not for lack of wanting, but basically, they can't afford it right now.  This is sad, but understandable.

The short one turned 9 on the 23rd of June.  This has me thinking about life in general, and how fast time seems to fly by without any notice whatsoever.  It's hard to believe my "baby" is quickly becoming a young man.  I don't feel old enough to be the mother of a 9 year old.  It's strange.  Sometimes he's so mature, it makes me feel like he's growing up entirely too fast.  And yet, I still occasionally get glimpses of the little boy he used to be, and it warms
my heart instantly.

Life has been crazy here.  There's been a lot of things going on with family lately, both good and bad, and this sends me into emotional turmoil.  My niece Mya will be 1 on the 12th of August, and will be a big sister to a brother/sister on the 4th of August.  And she can say "Bef", which melts me instantly.  Tiffany and Brad will welcome their first child on December 28th, though they're not sure what they're having yet. This is exciting too, because as much as Brad and I fight sometimes, I've always thought he'd make an excellent Dad.  The relationship between my mother and I is always a challenge, even in the good times.  I really miss some of my extended family, whom I haven't gotten to see much of this summer due to the Don Situation.  Perhaps it's selfish of me, but I still cannot bring myself to forgive him for all of his blatantly disrespectful actions towards me.  So I don't choose to attend family functions that I know he's going to be at, simply to avoid having to have a huge blowout in front of the entire family.  And yet, part of me *wants* to have that blowout, so maybe they would all see how he really behaves where I'm concerned.  One-way ticket to Hell, please.

There are other things going on in my life, but I'm still inclined to stay mum about them for now.  I'm selfish.  Some are wonderful indeed, some are a bit sad, and some are extremely exciting and nerve wracking.  Rest assured though, there will be an entire entry devoted to just this small paragraph soon.  *winks*

That's about all the random I can handle for the day.  In the words of my Sister:

Peace out, Girl Scout.
