Sweatfest 06
Last weekend was totally off the rictaaaa.......!!!!!!!!!!!
Friday night me, matt , and avery went exploring down harry man road in Round Rock looking for deer and it was amazing. We saw the cutest little baby fawn about the size of the fox that i really wish i had a picure of because it was seriously the cutest most twee thing on the planet and if you saw it you would agree. And during our adventure we found some secret bridge leading to the underneaths of an overpass. Definately has to be some sort of awesome hobo hangout..... and some kind of total gangsta meeting point judging by the graffiti.
Saturday night Assacre let Chico y Chico, Fizzy Dino Pop and HappySucky take his spot in some show at an art gallery celebrating some aniversary thing about bikes or something. That was a lot of fun. we went first and all our shit was like breaking as we tried to play it but it turned out alright in the end. then fizzy dino pop played and tore the motherfuckin roof right off. :) The only set back of that show was that Jose couldn't get the laptop working in time for happysucky to play. but was alright because they just ending up doing it total DIY style by plugging into Ben's car generated outlet and played in the parking lot and it was totally awesome. just them dancing around the parking lot yelling while some people 30 feet away were trying to have a dine quiet dinner. and there were these sweet old dudes jamming out in the road, dancing with flutes and flashlights and doing chants or something. I dont think they were suppose to play either but they were awesome. and the dude with the mullet tried to have a conversation with me but he was way too drunk to do it. he just kept repeating himself about Chico y Chico having a clear message or something and kept relating it to the teachings of Jesus. i dont know, it was funny though.
After that we were invited by Kathee to the Villa'ssssss to play another show. it was wayyyy rad there. First James and Jose did some 8-bit DJ set then Chico y Chico played again to get the party fucking going then last Happysucky played another set. A total way rad dance party and my camera was the communal camera for the night so i have way way tooo many pictures.
A couple days later, monday or something i think, me matt and avery went exploring some more in round rock, this time in the quarry. And having a cow moo at some unknown close proximity at me from out in the darkness is the most scared ive been in a while. We also found an wild armadillo in the bushes. Which probably isn't a big deal here but im from massachusettes and it was my first time seeing one, so it was kind of exciting. We spend the rest of the night trying not to get lost on all of the intertwining trails and roads, and climbing up epic 10 feet cliffs. This is just the third outing of the Deer Guild me matt and avery want to start. we have to get total cult clothing; all draping tattered cloaks and hoods complete with magical walking canes. We have to make up awesome names for ourselves and learn to talk to deer too. It should be pretty sweet.
the armadillo is like way hard to see so i had to draw an awesome circle round him. :) he is still like invisible though :(
And we are suppose to be playing two more show tomorrow. one is at the tillery at 8 and the other is at someone's house.
so out of the two at least one should be fucking awesome.
