☆ COLORING TUTORIAL #4
I changed the layout, since it's Valentine's Day. Rofl, not really, I just felt the LJ needs a change of wardrobe. Layout curtesy of butterflybox! Tweaked the fonts, the color, and the width. Happy Valentine's Day all (regardless time difference)! Another coloring tutorial.

Bright greenish/redish, de-contrast, slight blue/magenta result. This coloring is very light, may or may not work nicely for images with dull red and green. You can always help me identify other kind of images this one can color.

STEP 1 Crop your base. Here's mine.
STEP 2 Duplicate image, set to SOFT LIGHT at OPACITY 25%. This will give more contrast. You will need to adjust depending on your image.
normal->soft light
STEP 3 Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Curves
This layer will give brightness and blue/magenta colours.

STEP 4 Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Selective Color
This will bring out mainly the yellow and green colors.
SELECTIVE COLOR
Reds -45, +15, +20, 0
Yellows +100, +20, -35, 0
Greens +15, -40, +15, 0
Magentas +15, -30, +15, 0
Neutrals -7, -20, +15, 0
STEP 5 Layer -> New Fill Layer -> Solid Color
This layer will give a softer look, and replace white areas with dull blue, dark areas with slight magenta colour.
Fill #5c063d (dark current), set blending mode to EXCLUSION with OPACITY 30%
STEP 6 Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Curves
This layer will give more brightness, and slightly remove the dull blue.
