tuebular has sent me many mean emails (ok, one not-so-mean email) where she has expressed her desire for me to write in my livejournal again. And also, responding harshly to my last post 17 weeks ago. So, I am.
So, last big news was that I was going to be promoted to a Sales Associate in Lima, OH. Lima, you may ask? I don't know either, but luckily they decided, "hey! let's not move her to Lima, but since she is willing to move, we have to move her someplace. How about, oh, you know.....DETROIT!!!!" So, I am moving to Detroit to be an associate sales rep. The actual move date is up in the air, but I am spending half the week in Detroit and half the week in Cleveland. I'm not happy, my cat is not happy, so hope that I find an apartment and can get up here quickly. I've actually found an apartment that sounds lovely, but small, but I can't seem to get a hold of the realtors. Or something mucks up the plan. Hopefully I can see it tomorrow.
Um, lets see. I ran the half-marathon. It took about 2 hrs 20 min and it was killer. I haven't run since. I figured that fulfilled my exercise quota for the year (or 10). Went on vacation to MI with my family, which I haven't been able to do in a few years.
I did the whole HP thing, and I'd comment and all, but I don't know how to do tags. Not like I expect anyone on my friends to have not read it already (STEPHANIE/
iamtheenemy). It was so slow in the middle, but had a terrific end, and I am choosing not to believe the epilogue exists. It has been wiped from my memory. Liked the movie, but I mean, I really can't remember it. Love love love Gary Oldman, my man, he looked so hawt in all is Black-attire. I wish the whole Veil thing was bigger and more drawn out, but I was trying not to cry in front of my friends and if it had been more dramatic I may not have been able not to.
I totally missed the entire Dr. Who season (well, after Daleks in Manhatten), but am hoping to get caught up on SciFi. I also cannot wait for Nip/Tuck, which I'm pretty sure was on in the summer last year but now is not starting until October. BOOOOOOO.
Caroline is moving to the Netherlands at the end of the month and it sucks, but I've decided to do a European vacation next year to visit!! Yay Caroline!! And Jeff will come (as long as we go back to Paris). Lots to look forward to.
Anyway, I'm off to do logistics, etc with my sales rep. bye!
Oh yeah, PS. I've been listening to Sufjan Stevens a lot lately. And on Illinois, his John Wayne Gacy song? Gorgeous, until you hear the words and remember and want to vomit all over. But it is very beautiful. I like to just hum along, loudly.
OMG! And!!! I dragged Steph to The Decemberists concert with the Grant Park Orchestra. It was SO COOL. Just completely blew me away. And near the end, the sky turned back and it was going to storm and then they played the Mariner's Revenge Song, and it was just the most awesome backdrop for the song ever. The storm didn't help when Steph and I wanted to go see HP after and got completely soaked through after being outside for 30 sec.
