Okay, I love the title. Dark Side of the Moon indeed.
I really enjoyed this episode - but oh man, did the show rip my heart out and stomp on it!
Things I loved:
Dean's pissed off face when he was telling the hunters to shoot him.
Ash in Heaven! Awesome.
Only soulmates get to travel around heaven together.
Various happy memories. Dean's face with the fireworks, Sam's face with his dog.
Follow the ROAD! Which could totally be a toy racetrack.
Angel snarking.
Cleveland botanical garden!!!
Zachariah's true form. Six wings and (4?5?) faces and one of them is a LION!
Things that ripped my heart out:
They shot Sam! And Dean!
The scene with Dean and their Mom.
Dean getting all upset over Sam's happy memories. I was mostly mad at Dean, but also sad.
Creepy-green-light!Mom telling Dean all of those horrible things.
Castiel cussing out God.
Dean dropping the necklace in the trash...oh man.
I was rewatching Crossroad Blues earlier this evening. Man, is that episode ironic and extra heartbreaking when watching with Season 3 in mind.
