she's a funny one

Dialogue that occured a few days ago between everyone:

"I read through your Anthropology textbook a little, some interesting stuff in there."
"When Denielle was younger I always imagined her doing that as her job. She was into stuff like that. Digging the bones."
"That's not anthropology."
"Its not? What is it?"
"Anthropology is the study of people/cultures. You're thinking of paleontology."
"Oh. Then what is the other one I'm thinking of?"
"That's archeology."
"There's a difference between all of them? I NEVER KNEW THAT. Oh wow."

I facepalmed, but in a loving way. Of course she wouldn't know about things like that.

We wanted to get out of the house yesterday, ended up going to mall. PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. I thought we were under a recession. Jeez people. Anyway, had a nice lunch, did some drawing, went to the movies later. She insisted that I see Confessions of a Shopaholic with her, but I snuck off and saw Coraline. For the fourth time. NEVER GET TIRED OF THAT MOVIE.

As for today, I have an appointment to get my contacts around noon. Finally, vision in both eyes. And no more forced heterochromia.
I'll admit, the novelty of it wore off pretty quickly. I've actually developed a complex about looking at strangers in the eyes, because they notice it and it makes conversation really akward when you can TELL its all they're thinking about... and I actually miss having matching eyes. Like a normal person.

i love my mom, wwww, omgyay
