having a life is hard
If there's one thing I've noticed about this new school, it's that it involves a LOOOT of walking. I'm wearing down my boots! My legs are all sore. And after a long day of walking and cramps and public transportation, I still had to walk down to CVS and Vons to buy dinner and a lottery ticket. Then it started raining. But it was a nice kind of rain, refreshing and light.
I had no luck crashing an Art History and an Engish class, so I have to continue my search elsewhere, maybe at Mesa. Or start looking for a full time job. Rob tried to help and informed me of a 'Composition in Painting' class, so I went and sat in. It looks fun, the problem is it turns out there's a prerequisite for that class- I need to have taken Drawing I. But, uh... I've never taken a formal intro to drawing class because I already know how to draw...ha. So I might not end up in there either. But I got a free sketchbook out of it. I love new sketchbooks.
Rode down to Borders. They have the Megaman X artbook now! It's much smaller than [classic's], but still an interesting read. Ended up reading a book about pastels too. Always in the pursuit of artistic knowledge because I know next to nothing about pastels- hard, soft or oil, paper, you name it.
I'm starting to think I'm going through that process of maturity. I seriously think it's the new haircut. I don't get upset as things beyond my control, I'm starting to small talk more, and I actually smile a little, even if I am plum tired. I used to mock everyone I saw in my head, and now... I just don't care. Let people live how they want to, I can't change them. Life has just been so different since I've been back.
Linkey got his copy of Tatsunoko vs Capcom in the mail today, and while it looks like tons of fun and would love to l play it (VOLNUTTxYATTERMAN-1 TEAM REPRESENT), it's not practical for me. I'm going to pay $50 for something I'll only play for a few weeks? I don't have that kind of luxury anymore. I need that money for more important things, sadly enough. Have fun with it, Linkey.
