Ah, Friday!
This was a very long week. When I work the late shift, I feel like I never can get anything done; mornings are dog walking and minor cleaning things around the place before having to head off to work, and then coming home after six means just a few hours to decompress before bed. I don't really MIND the late shift, as long as I work it in a few weeks at a time blocks, but even so, it does make for long days (the 5-1:30 shift goes by so fast it's unbelievable).
ANYWAY, next week I move to the early shift, and in the meantime OUR BATHROOM IS FINALLY DONE!!!!
It's quite pretty. Once we have all the stuff put away properly I'll take pictures. I have some pictures of the work in progress but haven't uploaded them.
Tomorrow we must Clean All the Things.
Speaking of which, there's a new Hyperbole & a Half.
We went to the First Friday art walk this evening; didn't see a lot of interesting stuff, although it really makes me LONG for a good Steampunk outfit. (Including my HAT...) But feet are sore (crowded, and lots of that shuffle-walking one must do in a crowd), but had very yummy "Dutch-Indonesian" Satay with spicy peanut sauce; one thing about the Phoenix art walk, they call in the most interesting food trucks. There were a LOT of choices -- not your standard fair food! (Although the fry bread is ubiquitous here. I wanted one, but once I ate the satay, didn't want fry bread...)
But the little cupcake shop is gone. Maybe I should get up tomorrow and go to Barb's Bakery for something nommy....
