Doctor Six. Colin Baker had previously appeared as "Maxil," in "Arc of Infinity," a Doctor Five story. There's a lot of fan wank about that being one of the clues about Doctor Six's "unstable regeneration," that he'd take on the face of someone who had worked against him back on Gallifrey.

A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I've read it about fourteen million times, starting when I was in 5th grade. There are two movie versions, and THEY BOTH SUCK. The '95 version gets all kinds of rave reviews about how it handled "the magical realm of childhood" blah blah blah, but leave out the fact they STILL SCREWED UP THE BOOK.

It was kinda nifty to hear Joss Whedon saying it was his favorite book, too.

Ah okay, that's very interesting.

I'm totally unfamiliar with the book and the movies, how sad. It is neat though that Joss loves it

If you ever feel the need to read it, try and find a copy with the Tasha Tudor illustrations. They're really lovely.
