Thinkin' Thinky Thoughts on a Sunday

I started reading Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys on Friday morning. On the first page I read this: Songs remain. They last. The right song can turn an emperor into a laughingstock, can bring down dynasties. A song can last long after the events and the people in it are dust and dreams and gone. That's the power of songs.

Sean Patrick has been saying basically that for almost a decade in my head, it's his basic outlook on life.

I think I'm in love with Neil Gaiman. (So I came to the party late, sue me.)

I finished the re-writes on my Renaissance story and shipped it off; if they do an e-book, I'll brag about it.

And then we arrived in St. Thomas, where the pirates lived (Blackbeard's Castle is there):

Aaaaaannnnnddddd... LJ isn't letting me upload any more pictures right now. Dang it. Check back later.

Okay, I'm afraid I'm going to be one of the people who like Once Upon A Time rather than Grimm. Jennifer Morrison aside, the former is better acted, there's more of a continuous plot, and it's so reminiscent of both Into the Woods and 10th Kingdom I can't help it. Grimm is a nice gritty story, but it seems very "monster of the week" so far and the acting is... horrible (although many of the characters aren't bad). I'll probably continue to watch it, but it's not gripping me the way OUaT is.

Am also loving Person of Interest. I tuned in for Michael Emerson, but OMG Jim Caviezel! He just ROCKS.
