Kickin' off the Holiday Season

Nov 25, 2011 15:46

As always, the Christmas season does NOT begin for me until I see Santa arrive in Herald Square. That said, I have to admit I REALLY enjoyed hearing "Winter Wonderland" being played on steel drums with a Caribbean beat while in stores on St. Martin (plus, it was 90 degrees and humid).

The only problem is that my Kitteh Sweater (yes, I bought one) is RED.

Of course it's 71 degrees here so I may not wear it until January!

Dang! No Santa hats for them!

Yeah, I just got back from the wilds of Florida - it was hotter than the surface of Venus there...

Those ships really are like floating cities. I've got to go on a cruise one day and see what it's like.

Yes, they are -- or at least, a floating hotel (with attached mall). I enjoy them, I think mostly because I sleep so well on board!

Lots of plants! We got hibicus and flowering "bamboo" and gardenias, and birds of paradise -- I can't wait to see 'em blooming!

We'll be in the 70's all week, with lows in the 50's. Perfect weather for a change!
