And just in case of whininess

Silhouette is going through a "I don't like anything" phase again, after cheerfully consuming anything I'd give him for several weeks. *sigh* But boy, is he begging. Mow mow mow mow mow mow mow mow mow mow ( Read more... )

I don't want to go camping. I don't want French fries (had those for lunch). I do want political commercials to be over with but I know that won't happen.

But yes, I want a good con to go to. A nice, large con, with an art room and dealer's room and those two aren't the same thing and there's still an artist's alley and cool guests and....

We haven't been camping since the drought started. Alas.

I haven't had French fries in ages.

Yes, one of those. Just wander around the dealer's room, hang out in a pleasant con suite, catch a movie...

Heh. I've never hung out in a con suite, even when I wound up being part of the con staff inadvertently at a Robin of Sherwood convention back in the '80's. (PEOPLE COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO PUT TOGETHER PEG BOARD FOR THE ARTISTS. GEEZE. I had to take over before someone GOT HURT. And that led to me helping the artists set up and...)

I usually hang in the dealer's room, artist alley, and if I can fit in a couple of panels, I'm happy. I also love hall costume contests, because I hate sitting still for costume contests. Hate it.

Well, this was in the day of good, comfortable con suites with good food and good company, not the pretzels-and-popcorn fare that it started to drift toward in our latter con-going days.

I remember fiddling with those pegboards. CopperCon never did return one of my pieces... (musing on that fact, remembering that NorWestcon never did, either)
