Danny Sullivan, newcomer to Matthew's school -- when I first conceived the story, he was just one of the kids, and Matthew was the main voice, but Danny took over. I finished it for NaNo purposes but I haven't done any re-reading or editing yet (and it needs it). Danny is, at this point, a sixteen-year-old magic Sensitive who sees Matthew and knows he's a mage, but doesn't know what to do with the information. Between making discoveries in the mountain caves and getting close to the first magickal family he's ever met, Danny starts to find himself. (Coming of age YA story.) I'm not really content with the rushed ending and it needs a lot of work, but I like the way it came out, and I like Danny.
Yep, I started it all fresh for Nano and scrapped the little bit I'd started from Matthew's POV. Danny gave me the chance to see the O'Connor family from the outside.
and FB was messing up photos for me too
