So I've spent the last few days painstakingly re-building my iTunes library. It's slow going, but iTunes was REALLY helpful in letting me (one time only!) re-download all my purchases, and, once that was done, I did a complete CD backup of everything. I want to change the music on my iPod, dang it! (It's been loaded with the same music since ( Read more... )

enjoy vegas.

I can't really tell you what to do but if you're getting back most of the music and haven't lost any stories i might skip the salvage of the dead thing

I'm thinking that's the thing to do. It's so much money!

Thank you!

And I vote for letting the drive go and buying a new backup. Save your money for Florida - and the Feds. (Did you see that Dwight is having a back-tax problem?)

Have a great day!!! :-)

It does sound reasonable.

Yes, they've been talking about it on the Dwight email group I'm on -- I had to quip about the cost of his clothes; when we were in Sedona last month I found a real Manuel jacket, on the rack, ON SALE, for $1,465. Consider what Dwight's tailor-mades must run!

Ooooh, a Dwight group! Is it open membership? And...yikes! Luckily Manuel doesn't design for fat chicks, so I'll never be tempted.

It's on Yahoo Groups [DwightYoakam@yahoogroups.com], membership is open, and it's been REAL quiet for a long while since he's not been doing anything, but as soon as his name hits the news, the emails start flowing! :-D

Tell me about it -- I was tempted, and goodness knows I sure can't afford it!

I love rain, but I think the last few days have made my mood go a little wonky, too. Maybe it just triggered my hibernation instincts?

Hmm...Not knowing exactly what was on your hard drive and how much you'll miss it, I have no advice. But from personal experience -- I've irrevocably lost documents before, and given enough time, it stopped mattering :P

Viva Las Vegas!

I adore rain! I guess if it went on too long it'd make me buggy, but mostly I love it when it rains and rains and rains.

Yeah, that's what I think.
