Yikes! I didn't get a lot done tonight between writing that review and making dinner. Hopefully this weekend.
I was testing this laptop battery and it ran at least an hour; for some reason it didn't display the little "battery power" icon during that time, though, so I don't know how much longer it will last. I doubt it'll make the ENTIRE flight from here to Orlando, but I'm going to try. I hope I can get a little writing done on the ship, even though my Mom doesn't seem to understand the whole computer thing. She even suggested I not bring it! Horrors! (Of course, I won't log in too often on board; there IS wireless available, but it's REALLY expensive -- per minute, with some "package plan" pricing -- so I'll buy one of the package deals and log in a couple of times to check in until my minutes are used up.)
Speaking of this laptop, I have to find out how much it costs to add memory to it, because it slogs mighty slow sometimes...
I have to figure out how to pack for the plane trip AND a seven-day cruise; bring enough so I don't feel like I'm missing something, yet not so much that I run up extra charges on the plane. Mom gave me this whole dire thing about how to dress on board and I read their guidelines on the website and it sounds pretty much like what I wear to work for most things (including jeans), except for the formal dining room. I kind of wonder what Mom thinks I dress like, considering how many times she told me "you have to dress nice here, you know!" What, does she think I'm a hobo?
