more dreams

I swear if I'd been able to write down my dream last night I could have written a novel. Or maybe a screenplay. I remember pretty much zero about it now, unfortunately. But I remember thinking when I woke up, "I could try to write this down, and have something really cool to work with, except then I'd get frustrated as everything starts to drain ( Read more... )

Space ninjas! Awesome! Yeah, flying in my dreams is the same- low-g jumping type stuff. Sans acrobatics. In fact, flying in my dreams is often combined with falling- interesting, when you look at the things that say what dreams "mean."

Anyway, I had the wierdest dream last night as well. It involved going on a road trip and packing up the car, only when I got in to drive my car had trasformed into a giant wide bus- so wide it had TWO steering wheels. So wierd.

I also find that lately when I've had sleepovers with Matt, I dream about him. It's usually a wrenching, upsetting dream, like dreaming that he's been seeing someone else, usually someone gorgeous and blond. Also wierd.

One way to help you remember a dream is to keep a pad and pencil within
easy reach of your bed. The very nanosecond you are aware of a dream, quickly jot down a few key words even if you're groggy. Then you can go back to sleep, and when you're fully awake you'll have a few clues about what the dream was. BTW I've had some experience working with a therapist
who uses dreams in his counseling. If you have a dream which seems
important and you need some help with it, you can e-mail me. I will not
say "This is what your dream means." But I may give you some suggestions
on how to untangle it yourself.
