Because it was quick, it gets posted before the update. Which I'm still working on.
Food questions!
- breakfast: savory or sweet or none?
- starch fiend?
- coffee, tea?
- tolerant of spiciness?
- brownies: nuts or no nuts?
- ice cream: yea or nay?
- cake or pie?
- fruit: the whole or just juice?
- mayo: yes, moderation, no?
- mushrooms: yea or nay?
- tomatoes: yea or nay?
- cilantro: yea or nay?
- olives: yea or nay?
- raw tuna/other fish: yea or nay?
- breakfast: savory or sweet or none? Savory when possible.
- starch fiend? Yes, though I try to moderate.
- coffee, tea? Tea. No coffee.
- tolerant of spiciness? Mostly. I once had a Thai dish in rochester that made me cry and was pretty much unable to talk. That was too much.
- brownies: nuts or no nuts? NOOOO nuts!
- ice cream: yea or nay? YEA!
- cake or pie? In general, I prefer cake. But there are certain pies that I would vastly prefer over certain cakes.
- fruit: the whole or just juice? Both, though I'm a bigger fan of the juice.
- mayo: yes, moderation, no? In certain things and always in moderation. It is rarely my condiment of choice. Though it does not taste at all the same, I find an appropriate choice of vinegar is usually superior in mayo-possible situations.
- mushrooms: yea or nay? Yea, but I prefer cooked (sautéed!) to raw.
- tomatoes: yea or nay? Yea, but I hate when they have that certain mushy/fibery texture. Yuck! If they're that kind of tomato, they must be cooked (again, sautéed ftw!). A nice fresh tomato will be very juicy and firm and will not have that texture; they are then perfect with basil and vinegar. Mmm! Perhaps some fresh mozzarella as well? Yes!
- cilantro: yea or nay? NAY!!! I keel you. No, I can actually deal with VERY SMALL AMOUNTS of it. Such that I prefer if it's not chopped too finely, because then I can often pick enough out to make it tolerable. Strange thing: I kinda like the rice in Chipotle burritos, where cilantro is fairly prominent. Why? The world may never know.
- olives: yea or nay? In very small quantities. I will not eat them on their own, and I find their flavor can very easily overpower other flavors for me.
- raw tuna/other fish: yea or nay? Only ever had it in sushi, but I vote yea!
That said: lest you get the wrong idea, I'm not a very picky eater. If food is provided to me I'll almost always eat it--and probably enjoy it--even if it does have olives or cilantro! It just may not be my idea of a perfect dish.
