high school - nostalgia!

1) Where did you graduate from and what year? North Hunterdon High School, '00

2) Who was your significant other? Jennifer Rako

3) Was your Prom a night to remember? Erm... not really. Given that I barely remember it (and no, not due to drinking--I didn't drink until college).

4) What was your favorite song you danced to the night of Prom? I think we danced at some point, but I have no clue what to. Give me a list of pop songs from the time and we probably danced to them.

5) Do you own all four yearbooks? Nope. I own two of them. I don't know whether my dad got the other two or not (he taught there, and thus got them free).

7) What was your favorite Movie in Highschool? The Matrix

8) What was your number 1 choice of College in HS? I barely thought about it until I had to. By the time I applied, it was a tie between Rice and Stanford. Stanford rejected me (their loss!) so I went to Rice. It was a good choice :)

9) What radio stations did you jam out to in highschool? Jam out to? Um, no. I listened to 97.5 WPST constantly, but it was just a top 40 repetative Clear Channel station, so it's not exactly anything to get excited about. Or jam out to.

10) Were you involved in any organizations or clubs? Yeah. Mostly NHTO (musicals), Show Choir, and Madrigals. Also technically a part of French Club, Pente Club, National Honor Society (barf), and a few others.

11) What was ur fav class in Highschool? Math, of whichever year I was in at the time. Well, maybe not Junior year. Then I probably was aching to be back in Algebra II/Trig--Mr. Heinrich, while a nice guy and a good teacher, did not inspire me to like the course.

12) Who was your big crush in Highschool? I had several. Depended on where I was at the time you asked. Different one in almost every class and in most activities :P

13) Would you say you've changed a lot since highschool? Um... yes. Rather much so. For example, I'm now out of the closet and far less religious than I was.

14) What do you miss the most about it? Really awesome musicals. Theater just wasn't the same after that, even at Rice. Courses that were both interesting and understandable were pretty nice too...

15) Your worst memory of HS? I had some pretty bad times. The time when Hodgedon started getting on my case about what I'd done sexually with Jen sticks in my mind and still irks me. Not that he asked (not anymore--that was what bothered me at the time, of course), but rather the way I responded.

16) Did you have a car? I got my dad's car after wrecking it in the Winter of my senior year. My parents said to me, "I hope you learned your lesson. Wreck someone else's car and it becomes yours." They were kidding... I think... ;)

17)What were your school colors? Green and gold.

18) who was your fav. teacher? Mr. Schmidt. Also the class in which I worked the hardest! 2nd place, Mr. Dodge; honorable mention, Mr. Keil.

19) Did you own a cell phone in highschool? Nope. My family got one for emergencies in senior year, but it stayed in the car.

20) Did you leave campus for lunch? Verboten! There was a McDonald's just down the road and people would sneak through the woods to go. I never did.

21) If so, where was your fav. place to go eat? Well, while I didn't leave campus I did often eat elsewhere than the cafeteria, due to my wonky schedule. Each year I had a class where I discussed with the teacher ahead of time about eating lunch there. Sophomore year it was A2/T, junior year, American History, senior year... I don't remember. Sometimes I ate in my free period even though it was early; I usually went to Baj's room for that. Baj was awesome, even if he didn't bathe very frequently.

22) Were you always late to class? Pretty often, yeah. But all the teachers knew me and it was only a couple minutes so they didn't care.

23) Did you ever have to stay for Sat. School? Nope.

24) Did you ever Ditch? Not without people knowing. They had a hawk of an old man in the parking lot watching for anyone trying to leave without a note. Some days (during finals, AP, etc.) it would have been dumb to stay, but in those situations my parents always escorted me out. Being teachers, and all.

25) When it comes time for the reunion will you be there? I'd like to be, but I have no idea whether I'll be able to or not. Not like I knew that many people.
