I wanna go HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME but I can't yet so I'm going to write a journal entry.
The weekend was fairly uneventful, though certainly not boring. Maybe not so much uneventful as relaxed. Yes, that's more what I meant. On Friday, there was mostly nothing. Some Arathi Basin in WoW, which was cool since I hadn't been there before. Lots of fun. But I was very tired, so before long I went to bed. I think. Memory is fuzzy. My memory is frequently fuzzy lately, even when I'm not tired. I don't understand. I feel like I've gotten significantly less intelligent. Hrm. Anyway, the day after was Harry Potter! Went to the theater at 11am and stood in line. Gravid--though it's more characters, it's easier to write on here than G&D, since I have to do the HTML ampersand thing, and it's more fun. So I'm stealing it. Ha! Anyway--Gravid arrived at about 11:20 or so. We went into the theater and ordered food shortly thereafter. They played Harry Potter stuff before the movie: trivia, the magic school part of a Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode, a little quidditch. I got my food and was thoroughly unimpressed. I got this beef & veggie pot pie stew thing, and it tasted fine, but was nothing to write home about, was small, and cost $12! Alamo lost some respect in my eyes for that one. But David was kind enough to share his pizza with me, so I didn't go hungry. The movie itself was quite enjoyable. Really looking forward to the next one! After the show, we went back to Gravid's place and watched some TiVo, played some games (including Mario Kart Double Dash--whee!) ate dinner (wasn't terribly hungry but it was very tasty) then played some more MKDD when the newlyweds Christi and David came over :) Was a fun night, all in all. Kinda funny that I spent all day with Gravid. Was fun, though :)
Sunday, I slept in a little, then played WoW. All day. Didn't leave the house. Hee! I don't do that much, but I'd been going and doing so much for the last month or so that I really wanted to have a day to chill by myself. Leveled up my shaman some more. Also, I read A Planet Called Treason by Orson Scott Card. I had already started it, but was only about 3 chapters in. I finished all but the last chapter or two before I absolutely had to sleep. I played WoW kinda at the same time, actually, in that I had a quest that was sending me all the hell over the place, so I'd just read while riding flying mounts from place to place and while waiting for my hearthstone to recharge (it requires an hour between uses, for you non-WoW people). I read for most of 4 hours doing that, then a little afterwards. I was up until way too late. But the next morning I wasn't too terribly tired, and got to work just fine. Ate a kinda late lunch, came back, went to workout, left before abs so I could shower and make it to Gravid's at 6:50, where I carpooled with them and Jonathan (Gravidathan? Leviathan? What?) to game night at the Gregory's. Grabbed Chick-fil-A nuggets on the way. With Polynesian sauce. Mmm. Anyway, game night was doubling as reception for Chrisvid's wedding. Ha! Nameglomerations FTW! Or something. Anyway, there was ice cream cake. Nummy. Played more MKDD there... funny that I hadn't played it for months and then suddenly was playing it like crazy! Totally got my driving skills back, though :D Looking forward to a new edition of it, though I don't know of any specific news regarding such.
Yeah. Um. Yesterday... was more WoW. I played my shaman briefly, then created a new Undead priest on Alleria (same server as guild) and played her until I got tired and put myself to bed. Been getting tired earlier than usual for the last week or so, but whatever. I had no real reason to stay up, and sleep is good for me! So yeah, played that char to level 8. We may start up a "dark version" of our guild, with Horde characters. Fun stuff!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Maybe I'll do a nice sappy post about what I'm thankful for. Or maybe not. Ya know, whatever. I do know that I'm going to be having nummy food with Liz Gregory (the 2nd)'s family and some other Austinites. Good stuff! Take care, everyone...
