Moving...
We moved to a new apartment this past weekend. We got the keys on Saturday and it took until Tuesday to finish moving. I had to go back to work today, Wednesday. It was the most exhausting move of my life!
I had scheduled for the electricity and gas to be turned on on Friday. When we get in the apartment on Saturday, nothing was turned on. Of course, then we had to move all weekend and not get to take care of it until Monday. We had no air conditioner and spent nine hours moving stuff on Saturday in 103 degrees. It was horrible and just so physically exhausting. Then since we had no AC, we had to go back to our old apartment to shower and sleep on the floor. DirecTV had to come three times because of the electricity not being on. Then Monday when they finally turned on the electricity, they turned it off in the old apartment right away, before we had finished moving and cleaning up. So I had to call the old apartment office and they had to turn it on for me so I could clean up and vacuum. It has just been a horrible move. I can't wait to finally (hopefully) relax this weekend.
OK, for some positives:
We are now on the top floor so no more neighbors walking on our heads.
We have a HUGE Roman tub.
We can see one of the pools from our balcony. There is another pool by the front office and gym.
We have tennis courts (did not at our old apartment).
We are closer to my job which means saving money on gas and saving time.
We have a fireplace.
Walk-in closet.
HUGE bedroom.
Yay. Just glad to be done.
