Hello,
It's been a while, I know. I havn't had the time to update for a while. I have been working a lot lately and it's midterm time at the college. So as you can imagine, I have been busy. And when I do get some free time, all I feel like doing is laying around and relaxing, because I am so worn out. Anyway, I thought I would fill you in on what has been going on in my life the past week. I am doing well in work, just this week I have gotten several customer compliments to my manager, and I heard from another employee that the managers like me because I am almost never late and I always call in to make sure that they know if I cannot make it that day (if I am sick or something). Sorry if it sounds like I am bragging, I'm not. That's just something good that happened this week. Another thing was that I have been getting assigned a lot of random projects at work, such as; putting together bird cages for display, putting aquarium kits together, cleaning and setting back up the reptile/amphibian display, sorting and counding frozen fish food and all the mealworms, waxworms, and nightcrawlers, washing and disinfecting the "sick tanks", and so on. Not my normal stuff of feeding the animals, helping customers, cleaning fishtanks, and stuff. Weird. But I guess I like it because it is new and different, exiting (though sometimes disgusting), and to tell you the truth I get frustrated with the customers sometimes, so it's nice to get away for a while. Though, I was cleaning out one of the feeder fish tanks the other day, and to my suprise, I found a CRAYFISH walking along the bottom of the tank! If you don't know what a crayfish is, it is a small critter similar to a lobster, only much smaller, but not as small as a shrimp. I fished it out (no pun intended) and asked my manager if I could have it. He said I would have to pay for it since I found it with the fish, but it was only 26 cents, so I paid for it and took it home that night. Then I set up a 5 gallon tank that I used to have my treefrog in (before he died). Man, he loved it so much, he just took off walking all over the tank and exploring all the stuff I put in there for him. I put a red plastic cup in his tank for him to hide in and I am going to put some rocks or shells in there too. The funny thing about crayfish is, they will eat just about anything. You can feed them catfood and greenbeans if you want to. I used to have one, a long time ago, and that's what I fed it. I had Jennie help me name it. We named it Gimli (after the dwarf in LOTR). Anyway, yesterday my church hosted a Super Bowl party and a chilli cook-off. I wasn't able to go because I had to work. I am kinds sad for the outcome of the game, I was rooting for the Phillidelphia Eagles. If they hadn't had their last play intercepted by the Patriots, then they would have won. Oh, well. Life goes on I suppose. I have a Logic test today, wish me luck. I have been studying all weekend for it and even today, I feel pretty confident, but I am still nervous. See ya later, got to go study some more.
