So I'm sitting here at work constantly clicking
Flight Aware and tracking Rick as he flies his plane down to Naples, FL. where he'll be spending Christmas with his mom and brother. Now, missing Christmas with him never bothers me, I personally like going to my parent's house and spending time with the family without having to worry about entertaining him. He's back just a couple of days after and then we celebrate together. What I AM annoyed about is the fact that on Saturday they'll be flying to the Bahamas!! Damn you Rick Niles!! It is only an hour flight from Naples to Freeport where they'll walk around for the day and then stay the night in a hotel before hopping back in N51WT for the trip home. It is a little nerve-wracking though, knowing he has to pack life preservers and a life raft "just in case". I have faith in him though, he's a very good pilot.
Our big Christmas dinner went so well this year! We had 26 people and everyone showed up and left with full bellies. I did my best to make Martha Stewart proud and I think I did a pretty darn good job :). I made Prime Rib Roast, a Turkey Roll Stuffed with Wild Rice, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potato Casserole, Mom's Dressing (made by Mom herself), and Asparagus.
For those of you who are interested here are some pics.
Christmas Dinner 2007 Tonight I'll go home, wrap presents and enjoy the peace and quiet. Tomorrow night Kris will be over and we're going to put together a
pony (I may steal this present!) and a Barbie car that will be her daughter's Christmas presents. Hopefully we won't mangle them too badly! I can't believe it is almost Christmas!!!
