Birds of a Feather
The best thing about having a roommate like Liz was that you knew all sorts of things about what went on at school, especially birthdays as her loving friend always did her best to give others the absolute perfect gift. As she walked up the stairs to the third floor, Kate grinned as she silently corrected herself. That wasn't the best thing about having Liz for a roommate by far...but it was a nice little fringe benefit.
A small box was grasped in one hand, and then hidden behind her back as she knocked on the door of one of the professors. "Dayenne? Are you, at home now?" The brunette waited patiently for a moment only half expecting her to be there, already thinking to herself whether the Elder of Beasts would be spending time with Soulfire in her room or off with Edan in the forest surrounding the campus. Either way, today was her birthday and while she did not want to interrupt her favorite Elder on her day off, the young Slayer still wanted to let her know she cared.
