Zombie Bunnies! Horrible! Hideous! Fluffy! XD

Heheheh my title is from a magnet that Betho and Chris gave me for my birthday. LOL it's hilarious! XD

Okies, so I'm going to ATTEMPT to write an update on how the cousin trip went... we'll see how it goes! ^_~

Saturday was plumb full of packing, cleaning, organizing, listwriting, coordinating, etc. etc. etc. to get ready for the weekend. *phew!*

I *somehow* managed to leave in time to pick up Melissa from Cabalona's (from the Norlands' appreciation party), and only had to turn around twice on the way (which is very good, what with my lack-of-navigational skills!).

I picked her up successfully, and borrowed some patterns from Amy to make meself a new DRESS!!!!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! *cough* I'm calm. XD

So we loaded up Squirt's stuff, and headed off into the wild blue yonder!

We had a good trip up there; nothing drastic happened. We ate gummi geckos, chocolate orange sticks, and drank diet pop. ^_^

Arriving at Minty's safely, we proceeded to get settled, then ate scads of toast and watched "The Swan Princess" and "Cinderella" for the duration of the evening (I'm totally in a disney classic fairy tale mood!).

Next day we went to church with Minto, which was interesting, since there didn't end up being a sermon! there were just a bunch of little presentations from various mission trips and stuffs like that.

I missed hearing a sermon, but it was ok.

Ate lunch, talked, then I proceeded to play with Meliss's hair until Bethany and Chris arrived (yays!!!!).

Hehehe Squirty was none too happy about being stuck upside down while I braided her hair when they arrived. (I thought it was hilarious, personally..... *whistles innocently while sauntering off*)

So we had greetings and intros, and began talking as usual.

Spent the rest of the day playing Nerts, talking, eating, playing Apples to Apples, and getting ready for the trip out to the beach the next day.

Heheheheh Squirty managed to stay awake for the late night conversation that evening, and she was in LUCK!!! I was in fine form; Minty said that was the closest she'd seen me to being my REAL self for ages.

LOL I got my second wind, and was totally wide awake and bouncing off the walls... Squirt was ummm..... not used to it, I guess. ^_~

Next morning we headed out to the beach after packing up. Meliss and I had a great hymn sing-song on the way out.

We stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory, got ice cream, cheese samples, and squeaky cheese. (yum!)

Finishing up there, we drove along down the coast, stopping in Neskowin to eat lunch and play on the beach.

Ahhh, it was so purtiful there! Just right. ^_^ Man, I REALLY wanted to go swimming in the little river that led out to the ocean there, but no one else wanted to join me, and I don't like swimming alone.

*sigh* Ah well. I'll just get my family to go there while we're at Cape Kiwanda for family vacation next week. w00t!

We wrapped up our time at the beach, then began the looong drive down to my house.

Stopping by Norland's on the way, Squirt picked up some extra clothes and we chatted with Pete and the girls until she was ready.

Finally getting to my house, we ate dinner, then I picked up Peter and the girls from their house so they could come visit with the cousins while they were here.

We played Nerts briefly (I accidentally used a Pinochle deck again! Augh. Buuuut, I still won!!!! Bwahaahhaha XD),
then I read outloud a HILARIOUS, SIDESPLITTING pass-on story that Gumsock and Minty had written on the trip down.

Seriously, we were rolling on the floors with laughter! XD

After that I drove Pigeon and the girls home, then upon getting back, joined the spies in me room for a time of reminiscing.

Gummy ended up sleeping with us, which was nice. :-)

Next morning we dragged ourselves out of bed, trying to cram in more visiting/talking time before everyone disbanded at 11:30.

I rode with them into town, where we stopped at my dad's work for a tour, then me parents drove them up to Washington, on their way to Canada, leaving me to drive home and assume charge of the household and kids.

All in all, it was a great visit, although tons too short. Love and miss you guys! ^_^ I'm glad we were able to spend time together. *huggles*

So the rest of the week has been spent cleaning house and running the household.

It's been going well, which pleases me. I always like to be able to prove to myself that I CAN be in charge and have everything run smoothly (and cleanly! ^_~).

Tomorrow I'm hoping to be able to get some sewing done, starting work on a new dress using the patterns that Amy lent me.

I had a marvy idea earlier; I have a purtiful skirt that's too big for me (heheh it used to be my mom's pioneer skirt from when I would cajole her into joining my numerous pioneer make-believe games. But she gave it to me a couple years back, since she wasn't wearing it any more).

So I'm going to use it as the skirt of my new dress since it's already sewn (and I'm feeling lazy... *rolls eyes*), and I dug up the extra material from the skirt, and I'm HOPING it'll be enough for the top.

Heheheh we'll see how that goes! ^_^

Ummm, I guess that's all for now.... Toodles!
