A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
Man, I completely forgot to write about this in my last entry. *bad llama*
Yesterday after I got home, I heard something chirping on the side porch (it's enclosed). So I opened the door (making sure the cats stayed inside), and went onto the porch.
And there was a HUMMINGBIRD stuck on the porch! We've gotten other birds trapped on the porch before, but never a hummingbird.
And it was desperately trying to fly through the window, with no success.
Soooo, I got a dish towel and caught it in my hands inside the towel as gently as I could, and carried it outside.
I opened up the towel and the poor thing was lying on it's side looking dejected, probably thinking dire thoughts about getting eaten with succatosh for dinner.
But after a few seconds it sat up on the towel still cupped in my hands, looked around, realized it was free, and then flew away.
So I got to hold a hummingbird in my hand!!!! ^_____^ Very awesome.
