Happy Halloween! :3
So I'm really enjoying life right now. =] I was REALLY stressed and sad last weekend over colleges because I found out I don't qualify for financial aid because of my dad's income level (and he won't pay anything for it). But this week I got nominated for my school's Emory Scholarship. :D
This week I got out four college applications, two of which were scholarship applications in conunction with regular applications. I applied to University of Vermont, Georgia Tech with Presidential Scholarship, Emory University with Scholarship, and Oxford at Emory University. I was so busy this week getting all the essays done and stuff, that I was a bit stressed to say the least.
BUT NOW I'M SO RELIEVED! :D I got all my urgent stuff out the door and in the mail and I don't have to worry about getting the other applications due anytime soon.
I get to vote on Tuesday and I am really excited about it. =] I was supposed to work the polls again, but I never got around to taking the classes again, which were WAY too long. Ah well, I'm just really excited about the election and I have done a lot of homework on the candidates this year. =]
I have a LOT of Spanish homework this weekend, unfortunately. D: I have been putting it all off for this month's reading and listening portfolios for my college applications and other events that have been going on this month. So I'll be spending all day Sunday doing my Spanish stuff. D:
Then tomorrow morning I have to do the SAT Subject Tests. I haven't studied at all, nor did I know how to. I'm doing the Literature and Biology tests. I decided to do the Molecular Biology exam since I'm in AP Biology now and that is what we are learning right now.
Tonight I sat outside to give out candy, but there were hardly any trick or treaters this year! I think only about 20 children hit our house this year, so it wasn't much fun. D: I went in early because it was too cold out and I had no shoes. xD
Today an old student visited my AP Biology class. He explained how he was studying stem cells at UGA and it sounded so interesting. He really made me want to go to college - it sounds like such a relaxed atmosphere. I can't wait to get to college. :DDD
Anyway, I'm going to go to bed. =] Night!
