I tried to do that picture meme, you know, where you take a picture of yourself exactly as you look right now and post it unedited? Except my picture came out looking truly awful, like I was a drunk with a lazy eye and a fat lip, and I just couldn't do it.
I'm working from home today, as I've been doing a lot these past few weeks, with varying levels of productivity. Today has not been super-productive so far, but I did manage to call someone I've been avoiding calling for a few days. There are two more phone calls I could make today, but I think I can get away with using email instead.
I had my Portuguese class this morning, and I am in LOVE. Portuguese! Just hearing it makes me feel like I'm standing on a moonlit beach in Bahia, or dancing in the mangue clubs in Recife. Some of you know this already, but I'm planning to move to Brazil next year, hence the Portuguese class, and also the Brazilian music kick I'm on lately. One song I've had on heavy rotation the past few days: "O Pobre Dos Dentes De Ouro" by Cidadão Instigado.
I was supposed to go to a co-worker's retirement party tonight, but it's been postponed at the last minute. Anyone around tonight and want to hang out?
