So I had a pretty bad satellite problem for a couple of weeks where the only channels I could get were Comedy Central and Oxygen, but it's fixed now and all of my channels are back and I have a confession to make.
Probably my two favorite shows on television are "Rock Fest" and "Metal Mania." And it occured to me that I watch these shows not just for novelties sake but because I seriously love these songs. I have openly expressed my feelings that there is not enough appreciation for rocking these days, it is generally looked down upon in favor of indie pop and sad sack Brits like Coldplay, and I mean it. Now I usually put up a pretty good front as an indie rock snob, but you've caught me.
I admit it.
I love hair metal.
There, I said it.
And not in an iron, "I went to see The Darkness," kind of a way. Like I'm seriously into it. Skid Row. Metallica. Warrant. The power ballads get me every time. That Poison song, "Something to Believe In"? That's a hell of a song!
So that is that. I just wanted the world to know.
EDIT: I think Motorhead is kind of foxy.
