Review - Witch's Canyon (Supernatural)

Witch's Canyon, by Jeff Mariotte, is maybe the best of the three books. It doesn't try too hard to characterise Sam and Dean, mostly focusing on the job, and revealing bits and pieces of them at times. It's still not great, but I liked it better than the other two. The plot felt very much like a Supernatural episode, although it did have the advantage of having much more time to build up. I kind of felt like the forty-year cycle wasn't adequately explained, even if it was caused by a bitchy witch, but it was fun.

I know it's realistic that people are stupid, but really, some people in this book took the cake. Still, there were a couple of characters I got to quite like for trying to help the boys: namely Baird and Juliet.

Still a quick, relatively trashy read, but fun all the same.
