Teaser: Castiel doesn’t realize something’s wrong, not right away. The sun seems to shine a little brighter, the air taste a little cleaner: it has nothing to do with the change of the seasons and everything to do with the way Dean looks at him, now, slow and longing as though he wants to wrap Castiel up in his eyes. And he revels in the warmth of the hunter’s gaze, feels needed, feels wanted, and his grace hums within his vessel as it has not since his death.
Notes: This is lovely, a rather inhuman Castiel and a wonderful Dean who wants to do things right so desperately. I found a tiny bit of it hard to read -- it's a bit disturbing -- but the intimacy of the fic is worth it.

Notes: This is amazing. This is the fic written for me in the deancastiel exchange. There's scarred!deaf!Dean and no detectable fail and it's amazing and there's love and awesome!Sam and it just makes me so happy.
