Authors Notes: It’s official - I am mad. Having started the houndxmirage Three's a Charm challenge, flarn_fanfic said how she wished someone was doing something similar for redxinferno. And I’m easily suggestible when it comes to that pairing. So I shall be attempting a drabble (100 words) every day. Feel free to poke me (gently) if I miss a day?

December 29 - engram
“I’m sorry, Inferno, but his memory engrams are too badly corrupted. I can’t restore them.” Ratchet heaved a tired sigh. He hated this part of the job. Inferno shook his head.
“There’s gotta be some other way?”
“There’s not. The best I can do is wipe his entire memory to stop the corruption from progressing.”
“But… will he still be Red?”
“He’ll still be Red Alert. He just won’t know any of us.” Inferno almost couldn’t believe his audios. Everything he and Red Alert had been through was going to be wiped so easily.
“Guess I gotta second chance then?”
