Authors Notes: For the tf_speedwriting Wednesday prompt 4 - Don’t take life so seriously, it isn’t permanent. Okay, that’s four out of the six… the others will have to wait for tomorrow… this kitteh needs sleep!

My motto’s always been don’t take life too seriously, because it isn’t permanent. I’ve seen so much death and destruction that I just put on a happy face. Try and cheer everyone up at the same time I cheer myself up. Of course, Prowl and the higher-ups don’t see it that way. They just see a prankster who can’t be controlled. But they need me in battles… which is why I haven’t been sent away.
I’ve seen mechs fall and grey in front of my optics. Frag, I’ve been the reason behind a lot of them. But that’s my job. I’m a frontline warrior, and I believe that Prime will win the war and restore Cybertron. But in the meantime, it’s war. Which means serious stuff and fighting and death. We’re all going to deactivate eventually, might as well enjoy yourself while you’re doing it, right?
So I brew high-grade. Wheeljack helped me set up the still in exchange for some of the high-grade for him and Ratchet. I don’t mind, it keeps Ratchet sweet. Which considering the number of times he has to patch me up, is probably a good thing. Just wish I could get Prowl to lighten up a bit. The mech’s so serious. I guess he has to be to send us out to do the stuff we do. But I just wish he’d smile once in a while.
Well, I should go set up the next prank… they all know it’s me and most of them don’t seem to care. I don’t cause anyone any harm. Well, not much harm and I didn’t mean for Ironhide to get those peeps stuck in his joints. How was I to know he wouldn’t look at his berth before he lay down? This one will be a doozy though. Even got Windcharger to help me out.
At least it’ll give them a laugh, right?
