Thank you! I mostly portray him as paranoid, but I agree, it's always refreshing to see him portrayed differently...

Well, it's more that people don't portray him as anything beyond paranoid---he's just the guy who spazzes at everything, and that's all he is. No personality beyond it, and this is a wonderful change of pace.

I also like how he's aware of his paranoia---in a "just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you" fashion, true, but that's better than "I'm not paranoid, the rest of you are nuts and suicidal and brain-dead!" a la some other fics I've read.

*grins* I don't think anything beats apathocles' line in her fic He seems to have settled somewhat since then. Oh, sure, he's still a glitched-out, paranoid little freak at times, but the time spent on Earth seems to have been good for him.
That just sums Red up for me I think... which reminds me, I most poke her to write that threesome...
