“I can’t believe you did that!” Ratchet paused, glaring at Wheeljack. “No, wait. I can. But did you have to involve Tracer?” He shook his head.
“I used to go racing all the time.” Tracer interjected, determined to save Wheeljack from Ratchet’s wrath.
“On Cybertron. Where there were no rocks and organic debris to get caught up in your systems.” Ratchet snapped back at her, not even lifting his head from the work he was doing on Wheeljack’s leg. Tracer opened her mouth to say something more, but was stopped by Wheeljack shaking his head.
“Stop moving.” Ratchet growled.
“He’s always like this.” Wheeljack shrugged, trying to explain what was going on to Tracer.
“I am not always like this. If you didn’t go off and get yourself injured, I wouldn’t be like this at all.”
“I am not injured!” Wheeljack protested, yelping as Ratchet tweaked a wire in his knee.
“Oh really?” Was all Ratchet said, glancing up at Wheeljack before returning to his work. Tracer shot Wheeljack a concerned look; she didn’t think either of them had taken that much damage.
“You’re just mad I didn’t invite you.” Tracer would swear Wheeljack was grinning behind his facemask.
“Invite me? If I’d have known you were going to go off and do something so reckless, I’d have welded you to the berth!”
“Ya don’t mean that, Ratchet.”
“Yes I do.” Ratchet retorted, straightening and looking at the both of them. “I already know you’re a reckless mech, Wheeljack. But you don’t have to go turning Tracer in to a reckless femme!”
“Hey, I’m not reckless.” Tracker tried to protest, but shut up at the glare Ratchet gave her. It was never wise to anger the medic working on you after all.
