I spent the wee hours of Valentine's night researching the pros and cons of using citation analysis in faculty review and what it does (or doesn't) indicate about scholarly communication. I’m such a softie. A woman returned her books that were over a month overdue and at .25 per day, that would add up to quite a bit. I just didn’t have the heart to do it.
