serendipity?
Just when I had given up looking for a table/chair set that would fit the 57 inch space in my kitchen and that was both affordable and in decent shape, one miraculously appears. Eric brought it up from Kansas City last night and sold it to me for $50. He wanted to get rid of it anyway. It's pretty much exactly what I envisioned for that little area, leaves and all. While sitting on the floor behind the coffee table was fun for a while, it'll be nice to have the option of eating like an adult again. That is, if I'm able to eat anything in the near future with a consistency stronger than baby food ...
Sometimes it seems like bad frequently happens with good. Today, after eating a healthy salad for lunch ironically followed up with a Viactiv calcium chew ...crunch! What the hell? Shit, I think my tooth just broke!! Yep, there's a piece missing. Luckily it's in the lower back so it can't be seen and also it doesn't hurt (yet) since my dentist can't get me in 'til Wednesday morning. It does, however, feel really funky and not in a good way.
Off to Florence very shortly. Jeers on taxes, cheers for seeing the dogs.
