Along with all the interest in new music, I've gotten my physical appetite back and the urge to start reading more again. And now that my life is finally settling into some semblance of a normal routine, I actually have the time to do so. Having a floor lamp with a special reading light by the bed helps, too. It adequately does the job and from a distance you can't tell it's a cheap piece of crap purchased at Wal-Mart for $12.88. I'm hesitant to invest too much into the apartment until I'm a little more certain of what my future holds -- hence the cheap piece of crap metal over-the-toilet shelving unit in my tiny bathroom (which really doesn't look too bad!).
Any road, here's my current reading list:
- Flirting With Forty (if the shoe fits …)
- Forever in Blue (the fourth book in the Traveling Pants series)
- Tales From Watership Down (who knew there was a sequel of sorts?)
- Light My Fire by Ray Manzarek (on loan/recommendation from Greg)
- Club Dumas (the book version of The Ninth Gate)
- One of Ours (next in the Willa Cather pile)
- Nature Girl (because Carl Hiaasen is always entertaining)
