Aside from Friday night in which I spent partially at the Cork with Shannon, Rich, Linda, Greg and Paul and later listening to music out on Greg's deck with just he and Paul, the weekend was pretty routine and low-key. Went to the Farmer's Market and Festa Italiana briefly, took a nap, volunteered at the Humane Society for a couple hours, cooked, cleaned, rode my bike, walked the dogs … the usual stuff. Today has been the longest day - not in a bad way, not in a good way, just indifferent. When I get to feeling really restless like this, the house seems like a pumpkin shell closing in on me.
I did manage to watch DiG last night. It was good to see it again a) completely sober this time and b) having come to appreciate the bands involved moreso since May. Also watched significant snippets of the Wilco film, namely "Poor Places", "Cars Can't Escape", "Magazine Called Sunset" and "Pieholden Suite". Am in the mood to view Garden State again but will likely not have time this evening. In other media news, I finished reading Breakfast at Tiffany's and hope to start on Bukowski's Post Office next.
