Party, Fudge, Anansi, Move, ED, Gift, Shop, etc

Went to a party thrown by beergoat and kneel_b4_zod. I had a pretty good time. Tried a christmas beer made by bigdaddydonut which was pretty good. Played a little Ikaruga with a person I met at the party. Then we played SSBM and I thumped him mightily. However, we were both friendly about it, I didn't scream in victory or anything, and he maintained a sense of humor about it. Can it be? I'm finally mellowing out?

Other than that, spoke to a bunch of people that I hadn't seen for awhile, like years. Including the boyfriend/fiance of a person that I had booted from my life several years ago. No hostility happened, everyone was very cool. I wished them luck at the end of the night. I hope they continue to do well.

The secret's out. I showed sixtyforty how to make my fudge. As it is, I've also formulated a peanut butter fudge, a dark chocolate fudge, and a white chocolate fudge. Oh yeah!

On a related note, another care package of Tim Tams and such is on it's way. So hopefully it'll be here before everyone has to head back to school 'cause I want to have a Tim Tam Party.

m'Lady and I finished Anansi Boys. It was enjoyable, but not as good as American Gods. I think part of it was because it was so much more predictable.

Finished the Book of Five Rings and have started rereading the Book of Family Traditions by Yagyu Munenori.

Also finished a loaned book named American Ruins.

Started going through a book about escher, but I'm probably going to put it down before I finish it. It's not very well done. The author leaves out facts and mentions pictures that Escher did while providing very few examples.

---------------

Had a great EarthDawn session last week. It was about twice as long as our normal session and we had a big break right in the middle of it. Fun!

Hopefully, we'll get to play New Year's Eve as well.

Sometimes I just know things. sixtyforty and lankanova went out shopping at one point and proclaimed that I had another present now. I instantly knew what it was. I'm sorry I seemed put out! It wasn't because of the present, I know it's great; it's because I hate knowing and spoiling a surprise. I don't even consciously do it, it just happens.

But it's still great!

----------------------

Tried to go shopping. It was lame.

I did get to hang with trustleoutterly and kneel_b4_zod for the first time in awhile. That was good.

And I got Eggnogg.

NOG!
